Steven Thayn; a retired Idaho senator and former Spanish teacher certified in government, Spanish and social studies; has developed a system of small group instruction where 6 or fewer middle school students get individualized attention in math, language, history, and science. This micro school approach is especially successful with struggling students that need to “catch up”.

Curriculum

The math curriculum is a spiral curriculum that spirals or review previously taught concepts frequently to aid in comprehension. The curriculum used relies on story problems to help with problem-solving skills.

Philosophy

The history social studies curriculum is one developed by Mr. Thayn. It employees several timelines to give an overview of western history including important individuals, key events, and significant ideas and inventions that have shaped our modern world.
